The U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) created Consumer.gov to help people learn about topics related to financial literacy, including credit, how to manage debt, identity theft, avoiding scams, budgeting, opening a bank account, shopping for prepaid cards, and managing money. Consumer.gov resources may be very helpful for adult learners. They contain concise and practical consumer information, are appropriate for audiences with varying degrees of English fluency, and are available in Spanish and free to use.
