The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Tips From Former Smokers™ ads will continue in 2017 encouraging smokers to quit through messages from real people whose lives were negatively affected by smoking. Beginning on January 9 through the first half of 2017 these ads will run nationally on broadcast and cable TV, in magazines and online. These ads focus on diseases and conditions such as throat and lung cancer, heart attack, stroke, periodontal disease, asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
