National Cancer Institute dictionaries

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) provides dictionaries associated with cancer for patients and consumers. The NCI Dictionary of Cancer Terms includes over 8,000 terms related to cancer and medicine.

The NCI Drug Dictionary contains definitions and synonyms for drugs and agents used to treat cancer patients or conditions related to cancer. A check for clinical trials listed in NCI’s List of Cancer Clinical Trials is included for each drug entry.

The NCI Dictionary of Genetics Terms contains definitions for more than 200 related genetic terms. These definitions were developed by the by the PDQ® Cancer Genetics Editorial Board.
