Healthcare Ready Disaster-Response Tools

Posted by on August 29th, 2017 Posted in: Emergency Preparedness, Public Health, Websites

Healthcare Ready has two pharmacy-related tools to help the public in preparing for and responding to disasters.

  • RxOpen displays locations of pharmacies and whether their statuses are open, closed, or unknown.
  • Rx on the Run is a template you can use to create a wallet card to document prescriptions and other medical information so you always have it with you.

“Healthcare Ready (formerly Rx Response) works with the public and private sectors to strengthen healthcare supply chains before, during, and after disasters…It was established in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina by the trade associations comprising the bio-pharmaceutical supply chain and the American Red Cross. “
