Violence Prevention Resources

Posted by on October 30th, 2017 Posted in: Public Health

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently updated their page on violence prevention. Resources on this page include statistics, infographics, and publications to prevent violence in all age groups. The CDC also describes funded programs and initiatives aimed at violence prevention. A recently published report, Preventing Intimate Partner Violence Across the Lifespan: A Technical Package of Programs, Polices and Practices, provides a number of strategies and approaches that can be used to prevent intimate partner violence. Similar resources exist on the CDC’s violence prevention page to aid in the prevention of other forms of violence, including: elder abuse, child abuse and neglect and suicide.
