On December 6 and 7, The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will host an Opioid Symposium and Code-a-Thon at the The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services headquarters in Washington, DC to promote and employ innovative ways to leverage technology and data to address the nationwide opioid epidemic.

The Symposium will showcase promising practices in data and technology that have improved outcomes in communities across the country that state and local leaders can bring back to their communities.

The Code-a-Thon invites computer programmers, public health experts, data scientists, researchers, and innovators to develop data-driven solutions to the opioid epidemic using federal, state, and local datasets.
