Posted by on January 19th, 2018 Posted in: General, Websites

The FDA Office of Women’s Health offers resources to help women and healthcare providers get informed about medicines and other products used during pregnancy.  For 2018 the FDA Office of Women’s Health will continue to advance the understanding of women’s health issues, launch new research, and lead outreach activities to help women make safe and healthier choices.

In observation of National Birth Defects Prevention Month, you are encouraged to visit their Medicine and Pregnancy webpage. Please share the resources in this update to help pregnant women start a conversation with their healthcare providers about the medicines they take.

Use the Pregnancy Social Media Toolkit to inform pregnant women in your network about medication safety. The toolkit includes resources for pregnant women and health professionals, including sample social media messages and blog posts. Links in these languages; En Español, In Chinese, In French, In French Creole, can found on the Toolkit page.
