The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This agency has a mission to reduce the impact of substance abuse and mental illness in America.
Recently, SAMHSA made their Evidence-Based Resource Center available. This is a tool that allows clinicians, policy-makers and others who work with substance abuse to search for evidence-based resources including toolkits, guidelines and protocols. Information for a variety of audiences is available on topics including opioid use, substance abuse prevention and mental illness.
