Safe and Healthy Traveling

Posted by on June 12th, 2018 Posted in: General

School is out and the summer offers opportunities to see family, friends, and new experiences. Whether you’re traveling close by or internationally, by bicycle or cruise ship, on your own or with children, preparation is important. Take some time to view the suggested web links below to better enjoy traveling.

MedlinePlus’ Traveler’s Health webpage includes information for a variety of travel and is a good place to begin preparing to travel safely.

The CDC includes both a summer travel overseas webpage as well as their Travelers’ Health webpage with specific health information for the type of travel and the destination.

TSA (Transportation Security Administration) provides information about what is allowed in luggage, how to navigate security screening, and other air travel information.

The Travel.State.gov website offers a checklist when traveling outside the U.S. along with passport and visa information, information when traveling to high risk areas, and even driving tips.
