Rural Health and Food Affordability

Posted by on September 24th, 2018 Posted in: General

A recent article from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention titled, National Food Affordability: A County-Level Analysis focused on contributors to food affordability across the rural/urban divide. One finding was that food affordability differed significantly between rural and urban communities with rural communities paying a higher percentage of their household income on food.

For other information about rural health, you can review the information on the MedlinePlus topic page, Rural Health Concerns. The Rural Health Information Hub also has resources that can be of use to those living or working in rural communities.
