We are halfway through National Mental Health Awareness Month, and one resource promoting both research and public engagement is the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH).  NIMH is the lead federal agency for research on mental disorders, whose mission is to transform the understanding and treatment of mental illnesses through basic and clinical research, paving the way for prevention, recovery, and cure.

One way NIMH works to assess the nation’s needs is through their Outreach Partnership Program.  The program consists of 55 Outreach Partner organizations and 75 National Partners. Sign up for the Outreach Connection newsletter to stay informed of program activities at national, state, and local levels.
