Hiking Safety Tips from the National Park Service

Fall is a great time to go hiking! Whether you’re headed to a National Park or a local trail, it’s important to be prepared for your hike. The National Park Service’s Hike Smart guide provides tips for preparing for a hike and staying safe on the trail. The guide includes information about knowing your physical limits, provides recommendations for planning your hike, and lists the essentials that every hiker needs to carry in their pack.
