The United States Congress designated January as Cervical Health Awareness Month. Nearly 13,000 women in the United States are diagnosed with cervical cancer each year, but the disease is preventable with vaccination and appropriate screening (Pap and HPV tests).
The National Cervical Cancer Coalition dedicated to serving women with, or at risk for, cervical cancer and HPV disease. Their Cervical Health Awareness Month website provides information about vaccination and testing, tips for promoting cervical health, downloadable fact sheets, and a podcast.
