Postcard with African American people to celebrateBlack History Month 2020

Celebrate Black History Month 2020 with the Office of Minority Health (OMH).

During Black History Month,the HHS Office of Minority Health (OMH) will join partners in reflecting on the achievements of African Americans while promoting pathways to a healthier future with better health outcomes. During February, OMH will focus on the importance of daily physical activity and living an active and healthy lifestyle. Additionally, OMH will raise awareness about the impact of heart disease within the African American community.

Visit the OMH Black History Month 2020 page to find information on health disparities, use the HD Pulse Data Portal from the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities and take the CDC’s How Much Do You Know About Heart Disease quiz.
