Friday, June 19 is World Sickle Cell Day

Office of Minority Health World Sickle Cell Disease Day informationHHS and the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America (SCDAA) recognize June 19 as World Sickle Cell Day. This international awareness day is observed annually with the goal to increase public knowledge and an understanding of sickle cell disease (SCD). To learn more about the disease, please visit the HHS OMH SCD website for resources, webinars, testimonies, downloadable graphics and more.
