Basic Science from the NIH

The NIH is helping those of us with a non-science background understand the basics of scientific discoveries in their October 2020 issue of the NIH News in Health newsletter. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it is more important than ever for the NIH to provide this information for citizens to learn how U.S. governmental and international agencies and organizations may interpret and use these results to create policies and guidelines. Ultimately, their responses affect communities at the state and local levels. On an individual basis, people must remember to take the time to digest the research and science to make informed decisions about their own health.
