MedlinePlus, the National Library of Medicine’s online health information resource, is always growing. “Help Me Understand Genetics,” new to MedlinePlus, is an introduction to fundamental topics related to human genetics, including illustrations and basic explanations of genetics concepts. “Help me Understand Genetics” begins with the basics of understanding cells and DNA, and also includes information about genetic testing, inheriting genetic conditions, precision medicine, and more.
“Help Me Understand Genetics” was previously included in Genetics Home Reference. For more information about Genetics Home Reference content in MedlinePlus, see the recent notice in the NLM Technical Bulletin.
