The Network of the National Library of Medicine (NNLM) has a new on-demand course available for you to include in your professional development.
Consumer Health Collection Management, is 4 credit hour online course which reviews collection management principles for health-related collections in public libraries. Watch a recorded presentation and complete 2 assignments to evaluate your own library’s health collection, and consider how you can improve your health related materials to better serve your community.
The course is worth 4 MLA (Medical Library Association) Continuing Education credits. It qualifies for MLA Consumer Health Information Specialization level 1.
