Last month, we announced outreach funding to support a wide range of larger (up to $15,000) projects that improve health information literacy and increase the ability of patients, family members, students and members of the general public to find and use health information; or improve health professionals’ access to, awareness of, and skills for locating high quality biomedical and health information. We were pleased to receive 21 applications! Reviewers are diligently scoring applications and we plan to announce those that will be funded in the coming week.
We are now pleased to invite applications for our next round of funding to support Exhibitor, Professional Development, Health Information Awareness and Symposium awards.
I encourage you to review these funding opportunities and explore how you may use these federal funds to improve health information services or educate and empower health care consumers through your organization. Receiving outside funding is also an excellent way to get recognition within your institution or community!
All projects must be completed by April 30, 2017. Applications will be reviewed on a first come, first served basis and awards will be offered until funds are expended.
