About the conference: “Applying the best available research evidence in addition to knowledge acquired from experience to library and information practice is the main tenet of EBLIP. There is much to do in our ever-growing and changing field: decisions must be made, practices reviewed, processes and workflows examined, policies updated, and technology implemented. For the past decade, increasing numbers of librarians and information professionals have been consulting the research literature in the fields of library and information science, and other fields such as marketing, business, management, and education, as well as conducting their own research studies, to inform their practices.
The 9th International Evidence Based Library and Information Practice conference (EBLIP9) aims to bring together librarians, researchers and practitioners to discuss evidence-based practice in libraries, present research, and share best practices. The 2017 conference will consist of continuing education workshop activities and three days of keynotes, concurrent conference sessions, posters, and networking opportunities.”
