National Network of Libraries of Medicine, Middle Atlantic Region, will publish our annual Requests for Proposals (RFPs) on March 2, 2018. Even if you have applied or received funding in the past, you will notice some differences from previous years. It’s important to read through the entire RFP before starting to write.

This week’s funding tip – Read the RFP!

As you read, take note of:

• Deadlines – NNLM MAR applications are due April 13, 2018.
• Application requirements – what are you going to need from your institution? Partners? You need to give them as much notice as possible.
• Submission requirements – if you submit incorrectly (eg to the wrong email address or with the wrong subject line), your application may not be reviewed
• Page limits
• Budget guidelines – make sure not to ask for more than the maximum listed and double check what expenses are allowable
