DOCLINE Update | DOCLINE 6 – features you may have missed

Happy Birthday DOCLINE 6!

It’s been two years since DOCLINE 6.0 was introduced in November 2018.

Since March 2019, when borrowing and lending transitioned to DOCLINE 6.1, users’ most requested features were prioritized for development and 19 of 32 have been restored, in over 34 releases

Most recently “Free” alerts for PMID requesting were added, alerting DOCLINE borrowers that free full-text may be available in PMC or at a providers’ website.

Here are some of the other features that you may have missed:

  • Resubmit retired unfilled requests
  • Routing information added to request receipts
  • Contact library envelope icon in Borrow and Lend search
  • Borrower Alerts: Owned journal, Previously ordered
  • Select/Deselect All for request printing
  • Journal Holdings Report
  • Journal Title Lend / Borrow Request Reports
  • Lend performance indicators: Fill Rate, Turnaround Time
  • Monthly Borrower and Lender activity summaries
  • Embargo search filter in Journal Holdings Search

New filters in Libraries Search, and in Journals Search, help borrowers find lenders with access to their print collection, or to supplementary data in Holdings.

A new printable DOCLINE User Manual is planned for an early 2021 release.
