The workshop combines updated information with material from the NN\/LM MidContinental Region\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/nnlm.gov\/training\/measuringimpact\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Measuring Your Impac<\/em>t<\/a> and the OERC\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/nnlm.gov\/evaluation\/workshops\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Valuing Your Library<\/em><\/a> workshops that have been taught by a number of regional medical library staff members over the past decade.<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, Karen is presenting a brand-new workshop for the <a href=\"https:\/\/tladistrict82015.sched.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Texas Library Association&#8217;s District 8 Conference<\/a> called <em>Adding Meaning to Planning: A Step-by-Step Method for Involving Your Community in Meaningful Library Planning<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><a href=\"http:\/\/tladistrict82015.sched.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-3341\" src=\"\/neo\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/09\/TLA-District-8-Logo-300x193.jpg\" alt=\"TLA District 8 Logo\" width=\"169\" height=\"109\" align=\"left\" hspace=\"10\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The workshop is a method of involving community members\u00a0in creating pain-free logic models to ensure that the long term vision is always in sight when planning.\u00a0 Karen wrote a blog entry about the creating \u201ctearless\u201d logic models here. <a href=\"http:\/\/nnlm.gov\/evaluation\/blog\/2015\/04\/10\/tearless-logic-models\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">http:\/\/nnlm.gov\/evaluation\/blog\/2015\/04\/10\/tearless-logic-models\/<\/a>\u00a0 This is Karen\u2019s first experience creating and delivering a workshop that is purely about library evaluation.<\/p>\n<p>The NN\/LM travel season is about to go into full swing.\u00a0 We know we aren\u2019t the only ones out and about with presentations, trainings, and exhibits.\u00a0 So safe travels.
