{"id":6662,"date":"2022-01-18T14:59:25","date_gmt":"2022-01-18T22:59:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.nnlm.gov\/nec\/?p=6662"},"modified":"2022-01-19T10:35:36","modified_gmt":"2022-01-19T18:35:36","slug":"updating-internal-processes-working-with-nnlm-partners-and-enhancing-community-and-capacity-building","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.nnlm.gov\/nec\/2022\/01\/18\/updating-internal-processes-working-with-nnlm-partners-and-enhancing-community-and-capacity-building\/","title":{"rendered":"Updating Internal Processes, Working with NNLM partners, and Enhancing Community and Capacity Building"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The NEC has hit the ground running and is pleased to report that at the halfway point of Year 1 of the five-year grant, we have achieved several goals focused on internal processes, NNLM partners, and community and capacity building.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Internal Resources and Processes<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Successful migration of the data warehouse from the University of Washington and timely turn-around of NNLM and NIH data requests<\/li>\n<li>Launch of NEC homepage on the NNLM website<\/li>\n<li>Internal and external communication channels established<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Support for NNLM Partners<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Evaluation forms updated and made available on the NUCATS REDCap<\/li>\n<li>NNLM user request form made available through REDCap<\/li>\n<li>Evaluation Working Group launched and growing<\/li>\n<li>Continuous improvement projects, including NLP of qualitative evaluation data with Yuan Luo, PhD, professor of Preventive Medicine in the Department of Health and Biomedical Informatics<\/li>\n<li>Requirements gathering for Beacon repository with key stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Improvements completed to the RPPR and Training Survey<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Community and Capacity Building<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enhancement of NNLM evaluation resources<\/li>\n<li>NNLM Member survey coordination and oversight<\/li>\n<li>Highlight underrepresented voices and evaluation needs<\/li>\n<li>Training and engagement evaluation support and development of training opportunities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How can the work of the NEC help you?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/news.nnlm.gov\/nec\/2022\/01\/18\/meet-the-nec-team\/\">team members of the NEC<\/a> bring decades of combined experience in evaluation, capacity building, and continuous improvement.
