Trial of AAP Pediatrics Collections is available!

Posted by on November 1st, 2018 Posted in: Announcements, Blog, PHDL Resources

The Public Health Digital Library (PHDL) has requested a trial with our e-book vendor (STAT!Ref) to test usefulness of a NEW single title: AAP Pediatric Collections. New title contains/integrates topical information on six trending themes:

  • E-Cigarettes
  • Firearm-Related injuries and Preventions
  • Immunization Strategies and Practices
  • Medical Risks of Marijuana
  • Obesity: Stigma, Trends, and Interventions
  • Opioid Addiction

Content is drawn across AAP’s journals, books, policy statements, and blog articles. Sources include Pediatrics, Hospital Pediatrics, Pediatrics in Review, AAP News, AAP Grand Rounds, and Neo Reviews. I tested this resource on a number of topics last week including: Marijuana public health risks.

We encourage you to take a look at this new product (single title which integrates information from various AAP resources) and let us know if it is useful for your Public Health Department. As of today, it appears on your digital library page. This resource will be available for the next couple of months for testing. If it is useful, we hope to add it to the collection.
