{"id":1012,"date":"2021-06-15T15:25:42","date_gmt":"2021-06-15T15:25:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.nnlm.gov\/nphco\/?p=1012"},"modified":"2021-06-15T15:25:42","modified_gmt":"2021-06-15T15:25:42","slug":"public-health-digital-library-2021-2022-updates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.nnlm.gov\/nphco\/public-health-digital-library-2021-2022-updates\/","title":{"rendered":"Public Health Digital Library: 2021-2022 Updates"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome!\u00a0 \u00a0NPHCO is pleased to announce updates to the Public Health Digital Library collection for the 2021 &#8211; 2022 year.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>New Journals:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>JAMA Health Forum<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>American Journal of Health Economics<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>New e-books<\/strong>:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Essentials of Anatomy &amp; Physiology<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>AHSF Patient Medication Information<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>ASHP Drug Shortages<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Merck Manual Consumer Edition<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Thomson Reuters Medical News Alerts: Public Health<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Databases:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Over the past year, there have been a number of changes to our collection of databases.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/\">PubChem<\/a>, published by National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), the CDC&#8217;s Emergency Preparedness and Response and NLM&#8217;s Public Health Emergency and Clinical Info.HIV.gov have been added to the collection.<\/p>\n<p>We continue to subscribe to multiple databases including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CABI&#8217;s Global Health<\/li>\n<li>Policy Map<\/li>\n<li>Cochrane Database of\u00a0 Systematic Reviews<\/li>\n<li>Clinical and Library Standards Institute (CLSI)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In an effort to improve resources and make information easier to find, the NLM has sunset 3 databases that were in our collection:\u00a0 AIDSource, DisasterLit, and HealthReach.\u00a0 \u00a0DisasterLit is available but is no longer being updated except for COVID related entries.\u00a0 The multi-lingual resources in HealthReach can now be found in Medline Plus when appropriate.<\/p>\n<p>The PHDL is a subscription based public health resource for state and local level public health departments.\u00a0 Reach out to NPHCO to find out more about subscribing at phdl@umassmed.edu.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome!\u00a0 \u00a0NPHCO is pleased to announce updates to the Public Health Digital Library collection for the 2021 &#8211; 2022 year.
