The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Public Health Foundation are accepting applications for the six-month <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/training\/elearninginstitute\/index.html\">E-Learning Institute (ELI) Fellowship.<\/a> Applicants do not need to have formal education in training development. Skilled training developers serve as mentors for the fellows. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/training\/elearninginstitute\/about.html\">Learn more<\/a> about ELI and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/training\/elearninginstitute\/apply-to-eli.html\">apply<\/a> before October 21, 2022!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Participant Benefits<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Achieve competency in instructional design and e-learning best practices<\/li>\n<li>Interact with public health e-learning mentors<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate and network with public health training professionals in federal, state, local, tribal, academic, or hospital settings<\/li>\n<li>Develop a functional online training product in 6 months that is posted on TRAIN<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Time Commitment<\/h2>\n<p>Fellowship activities require approximately 2-3 hours per week for didactic learning and discussion, however, recent graduates reported spending up to 10 hours of personal time per week once starting design and development of the product. Attendance at one in-person meeting (tentatively late February\/early March) is required, pending CDC travel and safety recommendations and any state or local government travel restrictions. Workload, upcoming travel, and previous commitments should be heavily considered before applying.
