<\/a><\/p>\nAlabama Department of Public Health<\/strong> is the newest state public health department joining the program.\u00a0 ADPH’s Office of Informatics and Data Analysis contacted us to help in supporting the department’s data driven decision-making.\u00a0 Alabama DPH joins state health departments in Tennessee and South Carolina as part of NNLM’s Region 2<\/a>.<\/p>\n We are also welcoming the University of\u00a0 South Alabama’s Baugh Biomedical Library as a Partner Library.\u00a0 The library will be providing document delivery support to ADPH. <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Arizona Local Health Departments.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Twenty-plus local health departments covering the entire state have access to the PHDL through the support of Arizona’s Department of Health Services.\u00a0 Arizona DHS joins state health departments in Washington and Colorado providing PHDL access to their corresponding health agencies.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n NPHCO now makes available the PHDL to other public health organizations.\u00a0 This is a new venture for us and we are pleased to have two associations join the program:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Association of State and Territorial Health Officials:<\/a> ASTHO joins the program supporting its staff (not members) with PHDL access.\u00a0 ASTHO supports public health advancing the capabilities of health officials across the country.\u00a0 ASTHO develops strengthens public health leadership, provides technical assistance, and advocacy.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The National Network of Public Health Institutes:<\/a>\u00a0NNPHI provides technical assistance, research, and program evaluation, to over 40 public health institutes.\u00a0 NNPHI organizes member institutes addressing critical health issues.\u00a0 Public health institutes are small teams dispersed throughout 40 states.\u00a0 Public health institutes are nonprofits making systematic improvements in population health.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n To encompass our broadened user base, we use the terms entities or sites.\u00a0 We are excited to bring newer sectors of the public health workforce to the PHDL program and we welcome all our new sites!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" In May we marked the start of the 2023-2024 access year.\u00a0 Thirty-four health department units (two of these state wide local health departments have committed to continuing their access to the Public Health Digital Library for another year.\u00a0 Four additional public health entities have joined the PHDL program this year.
