May 1st began our 7th year of bringing the Public Health Digital Library to the collaborative group of participating public health entities.\u00a0 That group now consists of 30 state public health agencies, 10 local health department units, and two public health associations.<\/p>\n

We welcome the following departments…<\/p>\n

Kansas Department of Health and Environment:<\/span>\u00a0 KDHE’s participation in the PHDL program was initiated and coordinated by the Bureau of Epidemiology and Public Health Informatics.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Vision<\/strong>:\u00a0 Healthy Kansans living in safe and sustainable environments<\/p>\n

Mission<\/strong>: Protect and improve the health and environment of all Kansans<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We also welcome the AR Dykes Library serving as KDHE’s Partner Library.\"KUMC<\/a><\/p>\n

Maryland Department of Health:<\/span>\u00a0 Maryland’s participation in the PHDL program was coordinated and initiated by its Maternal & Child Health Bureau.<\/p>\n

Vision:<\/strong> A future in which all Marylanders and their families enjoy optimal health and well-being<\/p>\n

Mission:<\/strong> We work together to promote and improve the health and safety of all Marylanders through disease prevention, access to care, quality management, and community engagement<\/p>\n

We are pleased to have University of Maryland Baltimore’s Health Sciences and Human Services Library (NNLM Region 1<\/a>) serve as MD DOH’s partner library.\"University<\/a><\/p>\n

Mecklenburg County Public Health:<\/span> MCPH’s interest in the PHDL originated from its Deputy Director and is coordinated by their evaluation program.<\/p>\n

Mission:\u00a0<\/strong> To promote and protect the public’s\"Mecklenburg<\/a> health<\/p>\n

Vision:<\/strong> Mecklenburg County Health Department assures the health and safety of a diverse and changing community today and for future generations<\/p>\n

Serving as Mecklenburg County Public Health’s partner library will be University of North Carolina’s Murray Atkins Library.<\/p>\n

San Francisco Department of Public Health:\u00a0<\/span> SFDPH’s participation in the PHDL program came about through its Population Health Division’s Center for Learning and Innovation.<\/p>\n

SFDPH is mandated by its City & County Charter to monitor and regulate emergency medical services, matters related to preservation, promotion and protection of the lives, health, and mental health of San Francisco residents.
\n<\/a><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Our home library, UMass Chan’s Lamar Soutter Library (NNLM Region 7<\/a>), will serve as SFDPH’s partner library.\"UMass<\/a><\/p>\n
