Tired of trying to figure out which E-books are new and need to be updated? Want updates to populate your <\/em><em>website while you are at lunch?<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Switch to the remote update version of the PHDL!<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to the IT specialists at the West Virginia Public Health Department, the PHDL\u2019s website can be updated automatically by linking to a shared database.\u00a0\u00a0 Switching over to this version of the web pages should take less than \u00bd an hour. Once you make the switch, changes to the resource list will be updated seamlessly. For more information on accessing the shared database, please see the following documents:<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/news.nnlm.gov\/nphco\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/07\/PHDL-Turnkey-Guide.pdf\">PHDL Turnkey Guide<\/a><\/strong> is a one-page guide to installing the site and accessing the remote database.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/nnlm.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/nphco\/phdl\/phdlintegratorsguide.docx\">Digital Library Integrator\u2019s Guide<\/a> <\/strong>is a more extensive resource that can be used by public health departments that want to customize the site to reflect your public health department\u2019s look and feel.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/nnlm.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/nphco\/phdl\/Phdlfiles091818.zip\">PHDL website directory<\/a><\/strong> is a zip file that contains the web pages and structure of the PHDL.<\/p>\n<p>Discussions are underway to change the look and feel of the Public Health Department\u2019s Digital Library page so that it is easier to locate the information that you need.\u00a0\u00a0 Current plans include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enhancing the search tools so that they are easier to use<\/li>\n<li>Adding more entry points to the different resource types so that they are easier to link to (no more scrolling!)<\/li>\n<li>Adding subject terms to improve search functionality.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Need more information?
