That URL is now https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/?otool=phdlnphco.\u00a0<\/strong>Your Department should make that link available changing out the old one.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Here’s how to set up your My NCBI account to find PHDL articles:<\/p>\n Step 1: Go to PubMed from your PHDL intranet page and click on the upper right-hand corner to \u201cSign in to NCBI<\/strong>\u201d and sign in.<\/p>\n Step 2: Click on \u201cMy NCBI<\/strong>\u201d in the upper right-hand corner of the page.<\/p>\n Step 3: In MyNCBI, click on the link \u201cNCBI Site Preferences<\/strong>\u201d in the upper right corner.<\/p>\n Step 4: Scroll down to \u201cPubMed Preferences<\/strong>\u201d and click on the link for \u201cOutside Tool<\/strong>\u201d (image left)<\/p>\n Step 5: On new page that opens with the A-Z list at the top, click on the letter \u201cP<\/strong>\u201d scroll down to see the listing for the \u201cPublic Health Digital Library NPHCO (Worcester, MA)<\/strong> \u201d.<\/p>\n Step 6: \u00a0Click on the radio button for your selection and hit the \u201cSave<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Once you’ve set up Outside Tool within MyNCBI Preferences you’ll be able to see the Check PHDL button\u00a0 <\/span>on every citation when view in Abstract format.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Finding Articles You Want<\/strong><\/p>\n As you are browsing abstracts and find an article you want to access you can click on the ‘Check PHDL’<\/strong> button.\u00a0 Here you will either:<\/p>\n Be taken to the article, directly to a pdf\u00a0 or through the journal page (left image)<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Or<\/p>\n You will be taken to the document delivery option for ordering the article through your Partner Library.\u00a0 Your options may be<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Both full-text and document delivery instances will open another browser so your PubMed session will remain open and viewable.<\/p>\n The old version of finding PHDL articles will not be updated<\/strong>; you’ll be able to see it for now but it will be discontinued…it will go away<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Going directly to your article or document delivery request from the Check PHDL button is a function of a tool we’ve configured and tested.\u00a0 If you feel something is amiss or have question please contact us at phdl@umassmed.edu.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" These instructions tell you how to set up and find PHDL articles in PubMed.
