Library guides for Tribal libraries is topic for next PNR Rendezvous webinar

The next PNR Rendezvous webinar session, TRAILS and The Small but Powerful Guide – Management and Advocacy Toolkits for Rural, Native and Tribal Libraries, will introduce the American Library Association’s Rural, Native, and Tribal Libraries of All Kinds Committee’s (RNTLOAK) 2 newly revised toolkits, “TRAILS (Tribal Library Procedures Manual)” and “The Small but Powerful Guide to Building Support for Your Rural Library”. Last updated in 2008, these toolkits serve as guides for how to manage libraries and advocate for community support for outreach librarians, public librarians, community college librarians, trustees, library directors, librarians and staff in rural, and native and tribal libraries. In this informative session, attendees will be able to:

  • Showcase health information updated in the TRAILS Toolkit
  • Explain how to use TRAILS as a procedures manual in a tribal or rural library
  • Explain how to engage in advocacy and outreach to native, tribal and rural communities
  • Develop an action plan with a clear heartfelt message and talking points to build your case for support
