The NIH All of Us Research Program and the National Library of Medicine (NLM) have joined forces to raise awareness about the program, a landmark effort to advance precision medicine. Through this collaboration, the National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NNLM) has received a $4.5 million award for a three-year pilot program to support community engagement efforts by public libraries across the United States and to improve participant access. As a result of this development, Kelli Ham has transitioned to the new role of NNLM PSR Community Engagement Librarian.
Sue Espe, Health Science Librarian at Banner Health University Medical Center, Phoenix, writes about her experience attending Systematic Review Workshop: The Nuts and Bolts for Librarians, held at the University of Pittsburg, November 13-15, with support from NNLM PSR professional development funding.
Beginning January 1, 2018, NLM will offer three avenues for libraries to submit borrowing requests for NLM materials: DOCLINE, OCLC, and the NLM ILL Request Portal. In addition, NLM will raise the fee for filling an interlibrary loan request from $9.00 to $12.00.
