Citizen Science Day is April 13 – Libraries Everywhere will Participate in the Megathon Challenge to Support Alzheimer’s Disease Research!

Through outreach funding awarded by the National Network of Libraries of Medicine, Pacific Southwest Region, all libraries are invited to participate in a project being conducted by SciStarter and Arizona State University to celebrate Citizen Science Day on April 13, 2019, by hosting the “Megathon Challenge” to benefit Alzheimer’s disease research.

The Eagle Books – Diabetes Education Materials for Native American Youth

The CDC’s Native Diabetes Wellness Program introduced the “Eagle Books Series,” a set of culturally relevant stories and videos for young Native American children about diabetes prevention. The story books are beautifully illustrated with watercolor paintings.
