NNLM PSR Network member Annabelle Nunez, Associate Director of the University of Arizona Health Sciences Library in Tucson, writes about her experience and perspectives gained from attending the Symposium for Strategic Leadership in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, sponsored by the Association of Research Libraries, May 9-11 in Minneapolis, MN. She received NNLM PSR professional development funding to support her conference attendance.
NNLM PSR sponsored nine host sites for the recent MLA webinar, “Developing and Managing a Systematic Review Service,” reaching a total of 75 attendees.
Rebekah Tweed Fox, Instruction and Outreach Librarian based at Mount Saint Mary’s University in Los Angeles, highlights her library’s involvement in the campus initiative for comprehensive wellness, “Mount Wellness,” with instruction for student Peer Wellness Advocates to use MedlinePlus as a resource in their activities, conducting workshops in the library to promote MedlinePlus, and introducing a collection of “healthy furniture” as a library resource. She successfully applied for funding support through the NNLM PSR outreach Mini-Award program.
The National Library of Medicine has announced the five members selected for the 2018-2019 class of Associate Fellows.
