Welcome our new staff member, Sharon Han!

Sharon Han, MSLIS joins the NNLM PSR team as a 2nd Year NLM Associate Fellow! Sharon started on September 1st and will focus on Public Health Education and Outreach.

During her first year as a NLM Associate Fellow, Sharon contributed to research and development for a variety of NLM product and service areas related to NNLM activities, including DOCLINE, citizen science, and educational resources for youth and LIS student audiences. She has experience working in academic libraries, public libraries, museums, and makerspaces, often focused on outreach and education. She received her MS in Library & Information Science degree from the University of Illinois.

Sharon looks forward to building and growing collaborations with NNLM PSR’s members, particularly those focused on public health.

Sharon Han (she/her) is a NLM 2nd Year Associate Fellow with the Network of the National Library of Medicine Pacific South Region, located at UCLA. She focuses on public health outreach and engagement, as well as advocates for access to quality public health information in various information environments.
