New staff at the NN/LM PSR regional network office are: Kelli Ham, Consumer Health Coordinator, and Jessica Lake, Office Manager
New Consumer Health Librarian
Kelli Ham, our new Consumer Health Coordinator, joined us in May. Kelli’s first RML assignment was to attend the Medical Library Association meeting in San Antonio, where some of you may have met her. Since then she has been busy learning about the region and her new position. She’s looking forward to meeting more Network colleagues in the near future! Kelli graduated from UC Davis in 1993 with a BA in linguistics and from UCLA in 1995 with an MLIS. Kelli has worked in a corporate setting for most of her career, developing subject expertise in the areas of medicine, business and finance, and engineering and technology. Her background in medical librarianship also includes coursework, internships, and reference work she completed while in library school. Kelli has most recently worked as a librarian at the Thousand Oaks Public Library in California. Kelli has a keen understanding of our region’s diverse public, its health information needs, and of effective ways to successfully market our program and services to this audience. We are thrilled to have Kelli on our team!
New Office Manager
Following the February departure of Karen Ricard, Alisa Ellingson served for a brief period of time as our Office Manager, until her July departure. On August 29, Jessica Lake joined us as our new Office Manager. Jessica is a recent graduate of Pomona College, where she received a BA in English. She has previous supervisory and administrative experience at a camp for the mentally and/or physically disabled. While in college Jessica interned as a high school ESL instructor and as a marketer for new recording artists; she also studied in Tokyo, Japan as an exchange student. In addition to her interest in Japanese culture, she enjoys singing, playing guitar, writing music, and playing racquetball. She grew up in San Jose, California and currently lives in Westwood. Please join me in welcoming Jessica!
