New Pew Internet report on “Wireless Internet Use”

Posted by on July 22nd, 2009 Posted in: Mobile Devices

A new report, “Wireless Internet Use” by John Horrigan, was posted to the Pew Internet site this afternoon. According to the report, “56% of adult Americans have accessed the internet by wireless means, such as using a laptop, mobile device, game console, or MP3 player.” One-third of Americans use a cell phone or Smartphone to access the internet, and one-fifth of Americans using a mobile device to access the internet each day.

These are stunning numbers as we think about library services!
