They are:<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-276\" src=\"https:\/\/news.nnlm.gov\/region-one-insights\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2023\/08\/people-4482372_1280-300x150.jpg\" alt=\"hands with thumbs up and clapping\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/news.nnlm.gov\/region-one-insights\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2023\/08\/people-4482372_1280-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/news.nnlm.gov\/region-one-insights\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2023\/08\/people-4482372_1280-1024x512.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/news.nnlm.gov\/region-one-insights\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2023\/08\/people-4482372_1280-768x384.jpg 768w, https:\/\/news.nnlm.gov\/region-one-insights\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2023\/08\/people-4482372_1280.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Data Science and Services Award<\/strong>: Support for projects that stimulate innovations in biomedical knowledge collection, organization and management or data science, information, or research services<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 <em>University of Maryland, College Park (MD)<\/em>: \u201cThe NAME Project: Changing the Narrative and Ensuring Data Access of Oral Health Information for Medically Underserved Communities at Public Libraries\u201d- The Narratives and Medical Education (NAME) project focuses on working with public libraries in Maryland (and across the country) to provide safe and alternative places for medically underserved communities to acquire information about oral health care that specifically answers questions about: access to care, health education and the history of dental care in America<\/p>\n<p><strong>Health Information Outreach Award:<\/strong> Support for projects that improve health information literacy and increase the ability of patients, family members, students, and members of the public to find and use health information \u2013 or to improve health professionals\u2019 access to, awareness of, and skills for locating high quality biomedical and health information<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 <em>Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine \u2013 Virginia Campus (VA)<\/em>: \u201cFeed, Read, and Grow: Pediatric Anxiety Management Videos\u201d &#8211; Feed, Read, and Grow is a multi-agency project focused on improving access to health services, food, and literacy resources in the community. We will produce videos based on recommendations from pediatricians and mental health professionals and delivered through original characters and educational songs in English and Spanish.\u00b7 Life After 2 Losses (PA): \u201cLife After Loss: Support, Advocacy, and Health Literacy for a Healthy Pregnancy\u201d &#8211; LA2L will create a combination of in-person and online workshops that educate low-income, Black, Indigenous, and people of color, (BIPOC) women on birth justice and health equity issues through workshops, educational programs, and advocacy initiatives.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Technology Improvement Award<\/strong>: Support for projects that deliver technology improvement and health and digital equity to underserved community impacted by the digital divide via technology funding and online resource training<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 <em>University of North Carolina, Wayne County (NC)<\/em>: \u201cBridging Knowledge in Wayne County, NC\u201d \u2013 The goal of this project is to increase both health and digital equity within Wayne County, NC, by improving technology for a series of community partnership programs for both the public and new graduate nurses. For the public, class offerings will focus on increasing health literacy via NLM resources and combatting misinformation.
