Building Successful Collaborations with Communities Series – Registration Now Open

We are excited to offer another round of our Building Successful Collaborations with Communities (BSCC) course led by the Director of the Texas Woman’s University School of Library and Information Studies, Dr. Ling Hwey Jeng. This course integrates the theory of community engagement with its application to libraries using the Preparation, Action, Reflection model. We will share step-by-step methods and best practices for engaging with communities to co-design and co-develop library offerings.

Each section runs for a two-week period and has a limit of 40 seats:

• Course 1: Building Successful Collaborations with Communities: Community-Based Librarianship (December 2-13, 2024)
• Course 2: Building Successful Collaborations with the Communities: Asset-Based Community Development (December 16-27, 2024)
• Course 3: Building Successful Collaborations with the Communities: Collective Impact (January 6-17, 2025)
• Course 4: Building Successful Collaborations with the Communities: Grassroots Leadership (January 20-31, 2025)
