The Network of the National Library of Medicine, Region 4 (NNLM Region 4) invites applications for health information outreach, programming projects, and professional development opportunities. We want to see your application.
Among other things, past funding awards have helped libraries develop and implement health-related outreach and programming, acquire technology that can help patrons gain access to health information, and send staff to valuable training activities.
Eligibility: Network member organizations in Region 4 (Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, Montana, South Dakota and North Dakota) are eligible to apply. Membership is FREE and open to libraries, community-based organizations, clinics, public health departments and other organizations that provide or distribute health information.
Awards to NNLM Region 4 member organizations help advance the goals of the NLM Strategic Plan and help us achieve two National Network performance measures:

The purpose of these awards is to develop new or enhance existing collaborative projects among all library types to increase awareness and use of NLM resources. There are five awards for up to $20,000 each.

The Purpose of these awards are to support short-term projects that involve program improvement to advance access to health information resources in our region (AZ, NM, CO, UT, WY, ID, MT, ND and SD). Five awards are available, one award is up to $4,500.

The Purpose of these awards are to support and strengthen the professional knowledge and experience of individual network members in data science or heath information access/delivery, building professional capacity in support of the mission of the NNLM and enabling libraries and other organizations to train staff in the skills needed to deliver reliable health information. There are 14 awards available for up to $2,000 each.

Note: The funding range amounts for these award categories are an approximate. Applicants are not required to budget to the max amount if the project cannot justify it.
