National Hispanic Heritage Month may be halfway over but there’s still plenty of time to celebrate!

Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15 by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. So, how can your organization participate? Here are few health information resource you can incorporate into your outreach, instruction, and more:

  • MedlinePlus en Español – Spanish-language version of MedlinePlus for consumer health information.
  • NIH Spanish Health Information Portal – Offers free, science-based health information, including dozens of NIH News in Health articles.
  • Health Information Translations – Offers thousands of plain language health education resources in 15+ languages for health care professionals and others working in communities with limited English proficient populations.
  • Multilingual Health Media –  Culturally relevant infographics and videos to improve access to reliable, actionable health information.
  • National Institute of Mental Health – Offers Spanish-language digital shareables, brochures, and fact sheets.
  • Census Bureau Data – Learn about your community’s demographics to make informed decisions, including education, employment, health, and housing.
