Posted by on February 9th, 2026 Posted in: Funding, Request for Applications

Empower your library staff and strengthen your community’s access to trustworthy health information with the NNLM CHIS Training Award. This award supports individuals who hold a level 1 or level 2 Consumer Health Information Specialization (CHIS) in teaching an NNLM CHIS class in their own community, using established NNLM course materials to expand access to high quality consumer health information training.

By teaching a CHIS course, library workers in your community will gain the skills and knowledge to confidently deliver reliable health information, increase access to reliable resources, and foster library staff as local health information leaders. If you are ready to boost your organization’s staff expertise in health information, submit your application today!
