The next PNC-MLA Health Equity and Diversity Speaker Series will be hosting its next webinar session in December. The PNC-MLA Health Equity and Diversity Speaker Series is a collaboration between NNLM Region 5 and Pacific Northwest Chapter/Medical Library Association (PNC-MLA) through the efforts of its Diversity Committee. The session is free; however, registration is required.
Session Title: Demystifying LIS Profession to BIPOC Undergraduate Students: BIPOC Become Librarians
Date & Time: Thursday, December 5, 2024 at noon MT (1 hour)
Description: In this presentation, our guest presenter will share the premise of the IMLS-funded program ‘BIPOC Become Librarians,’ which is to address the lack of diversity in the LIS profession. They will discuss the process they developed and what was learned.
