Patricia V. Bradley, MLS, a proud member of the Diné (Navajo) Nation, served as the Native and Distance Services Librarian at the Health Sciences Library and Informatics Center (HSLIC) from 2004 to 2019. Her career in medical librarianship spanned more than 40 years. Pat passed away in 2019 and, to honor her legacy, HSLIC has begun the Patricia V. Bradley Native American Health Research Award. This Award will be given annually to a member of the UNM community who is conducting research in the area of Native American health using resources at HSLIC, which may include the Native Health Database, the largest collection of information related to the health of Indigenous North Americans.
