Immersive Workshop Funding Now Accepting Applications!

Posted in: #CC/Academic List, #Health Sciences List, Funding

The MidContinental Region is now accepting applications for the “Immersive Workshop Funding.” This funding opportunity seeks to support a library in developing and hosting a multi-day professional development event that trains participants to improve health information access. The event must be interprofessional and include librarians as one of the professions. The workshop activities should achieve the following:

  1. Increase the awareness of how different professionals can contribute to addressing a health information access challenge.
  2. Increase knowledge and skills in a significant area of health information access.
  3. Enable workshop participants to immediately implement the content of the workshop
  4. Enable workshop participants to be change agents within their institution.

Each funding recipient will receive up to $14,000. The Immersive Workshop must take place between May 1, 2017 and April 30, 2018. For more information, visit: https://nnlm.gov/mcr/funding/nnlm-mcr-immersive-workshop-funding
