The Network of the National Library of Medicine (NNLM) invites you to participate in our next Book Discussion, open to library staff, health professionals, and public health workers. This is a chance to connect with colleagues through literature, discuss how to improve health information services, and earn Continuing Education (CE) credit.

This quarter, we’ll be reading and discussing Rebel Health: A Field Guide to the Patient-Led Revolution in Medical Care by Susannah Fox. Fox explores how patients, caregivers, and survivors are driving a grassroots revolution in health innovation. Drawing on two decades of research, Fox identifies four key archetypes—seekers, networkers, solvers, and champions—and shares practical strategies for individuals and organizations to harness this community-powered momentum. This insightful guide offers both inspiration and actionable tools for becoming more empowered in personal health journeys and creating system-level changes.

Participants can complete the book and earn CE credit on their schedule. A new book is selected each quarter. Participants can acquire the book in their preferred format and have three months to complete the requirements and earn four MLA CE by participating in either an online or live discussion.
