To all that attended the NNLM R4 Connections Program on Thursday, September 9th, Thank you! We hope you enjoyed the activities and discussions.
As the public health engagement specialist for the 9-state region, I provided an overview of what the goals for the upcoming 5 years would be in the public health sphere. Most of my plans are to enhance and increase the outreach, engagement, and programming opportunities with public health organizations to increase membership of public health organizations within the NNLM.
During my presentation I had participants complete a word cloud activity on how public health and libraries can be partners. The results of the activity are found below:
It should be noted that while no one word was predominant in the cloud, many of the terms focused on collaborations and synergies. It is hoped based on this word cloud activity we as Region 4 can continue to enhance connections between libraries and public health organizations.
We look forward to welcoming more organizations and people to our future NNLM R4 Connections Meetings. They are one-hour sessions held every other month on the second Thursday at 11:00 AM MT/12:00 PM CT.
