Posted in: #CC/Academic List, Public Libraries, Webinars and Training

We are excited to offer another round of our Building Successful Collaborations with Communities (BSCC) course led by the Director of the Texas Woman’s University School of Library and Information Studies, Dr. Ling Hwey Jeng. This course integrates the theory of community engagement with its application to libraries using the Preparation, Action, Reflection model. We will share step-by-step methods and best practices for engaging with communities to co-design and co-develop library offerings.

Each section runs for a two-week period and has a limit of 40 seats:

  • Course 1 (May 31 – June 14, 2024): Building Successful Collaborations with Communities: Community-Based Librarianship
  • Course 2 (June 14 – June 28, 2024): Building Successful Collaborations with the Communities: Asset-Based Community Development
  • Course 3 (June 28 – July 12, 2024) Building Successful Collaborations with the Communities: Collective Impact
  • Course 4 (July 12 – July 26, 2024): Building Successful Collaborations with the Communities: Grassroots Leadership

Visit the BSCC course page for the additional details and to register for the four sections.
