Period of Performance: May 1, 2023 – April 30, 2024
Amount: Up to $2,000
Number of Awards Available: 14
Application Deadline: February 15, 2024 at 5:00pm MT
Eligibility: These awards are intended for use by NNLM Region 4 member institutions.
Award Focus: The purpose of this funding is to strengthen the professional knowledge and experience of individual network members within Region 4 in data science or health information access/delivery, build professional capacity in support of the mission of the NNLM, and enable libraries and other organizations to train staff in skills needed to deliver reliable health information.
SPECIAL NOTES:
1) Express Awards – If your application is for an online professional development activity costing $500 or less, please go directly to the Express Application instructions tab.
2) Limited Funds – Applications accepted and awarded on a rolling basis until the deadline expires.
Period of Performance: May 1, 2023 – April 15, 2024
Amount: Up to $9,500

Eligibility: These awards are intended for use by NNLM Region 4 member institutions.
Award Focus: The purpose of this funding is to support short-term projects that involve program improvement concepts, including technology improvements projects, that attempts to enhance the applicant’s communities’ access to health information resources that supports improving health literacy skills. These funds are an opportunity for the applicant design a project that addresses the digital divide so it may improve their community’s access to online education and health literacy resources to they may develop the skills required to find and interpret biomedical or health information.
Period of Performance: May 1, 2023 – April 15, 2024
Amount Category 1: Up to $20,000
Number of Awards Available: 4 ($80,000)
Amount Category 2: Up to $60,000
Number of Awards Available: 2
Application Deadline: Monday, November 7, 2022, 5:00 pm Mountain Time
Eligibility: These awards are intended for use by NNLM Region 4 member institutions.
Award Focus: The overarching purpose of this funding to build partnerships and collaborations with local community groups and other key groups to reach underserved populations with health information outreach projects that use community-driven approaches designed to increase access to health information by working through libraries and other members to support a highly trained workforce in biomedical, health information, and data science resources. These funds are an opportunity for the applicant to create opportunities to develop new or enhance existing collaborative projects among all library types that result in increasing awareness and use of NLM resources. It is also an opportunity to improve health information literacy by increasing the ability of patients, family members, students, and members of the public to find and use health information. Projects may also result in improving health professionals’ access to, awareness of, and skills for locating high-quality biomedical and health information.
